Final Draft Fantasy Project 1: Digital Imaging

Here is my finished draft for the Fantasy Appliance Project 1: Digital Imaging.
Since my last update I altered the basket of the hot air balloon/ lamp to look more basket like and I also reflected and changed up the shape of my birds, has suggested by Professor Ed. For the basket I placed the lines with the drawing tool to be somewhat inconsistent to resemble a woven basket and then I used a warp to make the basket have a curve to look more like the natural curve of a basket and kind of 3-D. I decided to leave the realistic town below to parallel the realistic hot air balloon gears I have inserted below the base of the drawn lamp. The mix between realistic picture images and the drawn pieces I have created, add an interesting "mix media" feel to the piece. The mix between the two make the piece seem somewhat alarming in a sense because once the viewer sees the drawn images and then glances and sees the realistic pieces, it is unexpected.  The use of realistic images and drawn objects are not expected to be seen together in one piece which makes it unique. Building off the mixed media idea I went with reminds me of when I created  magazine and mix media collages in the past, which inspired me to create something similar digitally. In all, I am pleased with how this piece turned out due to the fact that Illustrator and any type of digital art is brand new to me. I am proud of the knowledge I have gained thus far and I am excited to continue to experiment and learn more as this class continues.
